Hills and valleys, forests, meadows and pastures will pass outside the windows and you will enjoy your ride in the beautiful and pure Vysočina nature. Kids will certainly appreciate the themed train rides, such as Carnival, Easter, St. Nicholas and Christmas. The railway in Jindřichův Hradec dispatches a nostalgic steam train from Jindřichův Hradec in South Bohemia to Obrataň in Vysočina, with stops in Kamenice nad Lipou, Černovice and Střítež. An excursion train drawn by a 1976 engine operates on the Jemnice – Moravské Budějovice route. You can take it on special occasions several times a year, or during holidays on Saturdays and Sundays. Legendary among excursion trains is Posázavský pacific which used to transport trampers in the early 20th century. Its original railway line 212 from Čerčany to Světlá nad Sázavou passes through Vysočina. In addition to regular connections, you can also take historic and special occasion rides.
