History for the whole family
The gates of Roštejn are open to visitors from April until October. You can arrive to the castle by car, bike or on foot. You can choose from two sightseeing routes.
The classic route „A hunting lodge through the changes of time“ will be of interest to older children. You can see how the nobility feasted, where meals were prepared or what their salon, study and cellar looked like.
The other route "Nature, hunting and gamekeeping" is focussed on parents and children and is accessible without a guide. It takes you through the castle galleries and introduces you to gamekeeping, plants, animals and the surrounding forests. The smallest visitors will surely love to stop by the playroom U Zvídavé lišky.
Children can also enjoy an adventure in the form of an expedition to the observation tower. When the weather is favourable you can see not only the surrounding area, but also the Alps which are over 300 km away.
