The Basilica is built in the Romanesque style with some early Gothic features and belongs among the treasures of medieval architecture. In 2003, the Jewish quarter, together with the Jewish cemetery and the basilica of St. Prokop with the chateau complex is registered on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List.

Jewish Quarter

A reminder of the long and rich history of the Jewish community in Třebíč remains a unique district, which is one of the best preserved in urban planning in Europe. The Jewish city took shape for several centuries. Narrow streets, passages, porches, verandas and balconies create a unique character of the area.

TIC Zadní synagoga offers guided tours of the Jewish quarter and the possibility of visiting the Antonín Kalina Memorial Hall and the Antonín Kalina Children exhibition.

Jewish cemetery

One of the largest and best-preserved Jewish cemeteries in the Czech Republic was registered on the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List in 2003 as part of the Jewish quarter. It is located on the northern slope of Hrádek Hill and a winding carriage path leads from the Jewish quarter.
