KAMENICE NAD LIPOU SYNAGOGUE

The new synagogue in Kamenice nad Lipou is considered the newest Jewish synagogue in the Czech Republic. Today it serves as an evangelical house of prayer.

The Jewish synagogue stands in Tyršova Street opposite the bus station in Kamenice nad Lipou. The original synagogue stood where the buses stop today, but it was demolished.

The new building was built in 1938, so it was the last synagogue built before World War II. Immediately afterwards it was sold to the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren, who repaired it and still use it today.
