Jews acquired plots of land for burial in hard-to-reach locations, and it was no different in Košetice, where the Jewish cemetery is located in a forest among a stand of trees south-east of the village. It was already on the cadastral map from 1838, in roughly its present extent. The oldest tombstones date from the first half of the 18th century.
The Jewish community in Košetice was active before 1654 but ceased to exist at the end of the 19th century. Until the occupation, the Jewish community in Křivsoudov took care of the cemetery. There is also a synagogue in Košetice, which was built in the middle of the 19th century. It stands behind the municipal office building and was converted to residential use after World War II.
