The first synagogue in Police documented in historical sources stood on the village green. After 1728 it was converted into a residential house. Another synagogue was built in Židovská Street, but it was reduced to ashes following a fire in 1758. The very next year Isaac Landesmann built a new brick synagogue, which he also furnished and equipped. The new synagogue was built by master mason Matyáš Kirchmayer from nearby Kdousov in rural baroque style. The vault of the synagogue is decorated with oval stucco medallions.
The synagogue served its purpose until the beginning of the 20th century. Later it was converted into a gym. Today, after a complete restoration, for which it received the Patrimonium pro futuro award in 2021, it serves as a tourist attraction.
